Research and training programs funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, such as Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) and Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeships (IGERT), offer short-term support to the Center's graduate student affiliates (both students in the Population Biology and in other UC Davis graduate groups), and provide support for independent postdoctoral associates who have recently completed their doctoral dissertations.
Individuals and organizations such as the Daphne and Ted Pengelley Fund and the ARCS Foundation, as well as the UC Davis College of Biological Sciences, also provide a crucial baseline of ongoing fellowship and research backing for our students and postdoctoral fellows.
